Biography

For twenty years, I was working in administration, and though the work was rewarding at times, I realized that there was no room for growth. I then decided that I needed to make some drastic changes. And so, with nothing but a high school diploma to my name, at the ripe age of 47, I went back to school. Since I didn’t have a lot of time, I decided to join a “bootcamp” training course which was a two year program condensed into seven months. It was one of the craziest decisions I have ever made. The course was grueling but we learned a lot. Following the bootcamp, I was lucky to secure an internship with Societe General, an international bank based in France. There, I made substantial improvements to a simple website, using Angular 7 to optimize both the functionality and aesthetics. At the same time, I created a complex CRUD web application for my former employer, using Angular 8 for the front-end and PHP for the backend. I am married with three grown children, and I live in Cote-Saint-Luc.
